Project: Hilton Garden Inn, RAK
One of the first iconic structures built in the state of RAK in the year 1970. Branded a ‘Hilton’ in 2001, in 2015, after 15 successful years of operation, the client and the operator agreed to a refurbishment of the property and to rebrand the property as Garden Inn due to changed market conditions.
The rebranding an upscale luxury Hilton into a mid segment HGI had some major challenges.
The Public Area floor plate being almost four times the expected size of a typical HGI, the design team had to ensure that the interior look and feel justified the volume and subsequently delivering the comfort synonymous to an HGI . The scope of design was for 240 keys including 8 suites, 4 F & B outlets, a state of the art fitness centre and a pool deck.
Scope: Interior Design/ Concept, Schematics, Detail Drawings, Construction Drawings and Procurement Consultancy
